I have lately come to realize my fascination with capping stills from films I watch is the perfect way of preserving that certain film experience in my memory. Mostly I choose frames that are worthy of a pause, one extra second to absorb the misé-en-scene, have time to smile about the cleverness of the shot and the hidden importance of every object or accidental perfection. And I am ridiculously obsessive with composition and lighting, I really am. Therefore I'll take up my already existing habit of screen-capping (I pretty much breathe film_stills daily after all) and will publish them here. There might be someone else out there who's as obsessed as I am...
